Assistance

Most people don’t realise how challenging, emotional and stressful arranging care can be.

Even after agreeing a support plan and choosing suitable providers, arranging care can be a difficult and time-consuming process, often involving a lot of paperwork and bureaucracy.

Every Client is an individual. Consequently the scope of Westcott's Assistance work depends very much on the type of support you require. Some Clients prefer to make all the arrangements themselves, whilst others are only too happy to let Westcott take the strain.

Westcott can support you with whatever assistance you need to help you begin receiving the services you require

This might include:

  • Advising on practical matters, such as moving or organising powers of attorney;
  • Liaising with care agencies and home care providers;
  • Arranging and accompanying you on visits to care homes;
  • Organising respite care;
  • Acting as your advocate when negotiating with care providers and/or arranging funding;
  • Dealing with the admin, e.g. filling in forms, sitting on the phone to providers and funders;
  • Generally guiding you through the process and ensuring that all relevant matters are being dealt with.
